Family visit went well, but my gosh have I been sick or what!!
Ended up SOMEHOW contracting Rotavirus and was put in hospital 4 times for dehydration.
Since I have such a small stomach from my gastric sleeve op in 2011, once I get sick like that I cant help replace my fluids fast enough.. BAH and humbug.
With that and the inner ear infection and the recurring chest lurgie that just will NOT go away.. I can honestly say that I have been on more meds in 4 months than I had been in 3 years previously.
Our son is doing ok, however he is weaning himself off his meds. While they may stop the constant flare ups, the dont stop any pain and the side effects of weightloss, mood swings, kidney issues and hair loss just do NOT rock it in the world of an already reclusive 17yr old.
So he is weaning off slowly and we will start all over again at some other point.
We have found an alternative therapy clinic in Ohio that has been helping others with his condition so we will see about heading there in May. 2013. Gotta raise the funds first. NOTHING is cheap in the USA.
We are having my ex-mum in law to visit us for Xmas.Yep you read it right. EX-Mother in Law!! We get along so so well now I am not maried to her son LMAO.(YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW MUCH THE EX HATES THIS TOO, RIGHT!)
Hubby was coming for Xmas but picked up some extra work and honestly, this will benefit us more in the long run than a few days off together.
We all fly out of Penang on the 27th DEC.
Our Son is heading back to Perth, Western Australia for 6 weeks to see family and friends. The break will do him wonders. Nothing more fun then hanging out with buddies to cheer you up.
I will be flying back to Oz for 6 weeks to wrap up our family stuff there and sort more financing options for our upcoming business venture( heres hoping)
Pretty boring really, just going through the motions. I know I will be heart broken to leave our friends, but life goes on. Also we are coming back. The real problem is that most of our best friends are digital nomads and world travelers.. I get attached so easily to their families and leaving folks behind or seeing them depart is always sad, yet a common part of the lifestyle I am still not used to yet.
So that is it from me really for Penang. I will pop up some pics later on at some stage.
Will keep you all posted.
Take care of each other xoxox
